Collect Yogurt Lids to Support Breast Cancer

Yogurt manufacturer, Yoplait, announced the start of its 13th Annual Save Lids to Save Lives campaign, a fundraising drive where people can collect Yoplait yogurt lids to help raise money to support women affected by breast cancer.

For each lid that is that is redeemed this year, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a national breast cancer foundation.

This year, Yoplait announced several extensions to the program, which include opportunities to:

Fund Local Breast Cancer Programs:

Each yogurt lid will be tracked by zip code so that all funds generated from one area can be directed back to programs in that local area.

Redeem Lids Both By Mail and Online:

For the first time, lids can be redeemed online by inputting special codes that are showcased on the lids into the designated website.

Contribute to the Largest Donation Ever:

This year the company has increased its maximum donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation by 20 percent to $2 million. To date, Yoplait has donated more than $30 million generated from this campaign to the breast cancer cause.

Dedicate a Lid to Someone Special:

People can dedicate their lids to someone who means something special to them or to someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Additionally, in select cities, people have the opportunity to tell stories about these special people in the Yoplait tent at local Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure walking/running events.
